WOVEN WIRE PARTITIONS
SPECIFICATIONS
Type No. 135
  1. Wire mesh partition shall be Central Wire and Iron type No. 135.
  2. 10 Gauge (.135) steel wire, 1 ½" diamond mesh with wire securely clinched to framing.
  3. Center reinforcement 2-CR channel 1" x 3/8" bolted each side of mesh.
  4. Vertical frames 1 1/4" x 5/8" "C" type, cold rolled channel. Horizontal frames 1" x 1/2" x 1/8" channel mortised and tenoned at intersections.
  5. Top capping bar 2 1/4" x 1" cold rolled channel with 1/4" "U" bolts approximately 24" O.C.
  6. Corner post 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 1/8" angle.
  7. 2" high die cast shoes hold panel legs in alignment. 
  8. Door frames 1 1/4" x 1/2" x 1/8" channel with 1 1/4" x 1/8" cover plate on four sides.
  9. Sliding doors to have: two, 4-wheel trucks hung in enclosed box track and bottom angle guide.
  10. Hinged doors to have: 1 1/2" pair fast pin butts; continuous 11 gauge strike bar.
  11. 3" sweep space under all panels and doors.
  12. Bronze cylinder mortise type locks with cylinders individually keyed, keyed alike, or master keyed to the building system.  All locks to have recessed knobs on inside.
  13. All hardware necessary for proper installation to be furnished.
  14. Finish: one shop coat dipped steel gray gloss enamel (or specify other color if desired).
Type No. 135-A
  • 2 through 14 same as for 135 plus the following:
  • Mullion bars between all panels to be:
    • 5/16" x 2 1/2" flat for partitions 12' - 16' high, 
    • 5/16" x 3" for partitions 16' - 20' high.
Sheet Base
  • Specifications for either 135 or 192 remain the same, plus the following:
  • 16 gauge steel sheet welded in lower 3' - 6" portion of panel.

Low Partitions 7'- 0" TO 12'- 0"
 

low partitions This group covers single panel partitions ranging in height from 7'- 0" to 12'- 0".  Floor and/or ceiling bracing can be installed for added reinforcement where required.

Tall Partitions 12' - 0' TO 20'- 0"
 

Tall Partitions This group covers partitions with upper and lower panels for heights in excess of 12' - 0"  usually extending from floor to overhead.  Flat mullion bars are installed for vertical reinforcement between panels (as shown) or tees, angles, tubes, etc.

  1. Wire mesh partition shall be Central Wire and Iron type No. 192
  2. 6 Gauge (.192) steel wire, 2" diamond mesh with wire securely clinched to framing.
  3. Center reinforcement 2" - 1" - 1/2" CR channel  bolted each side of mesh.
  4. Fames 1 1/2" x 3/4" x 1/8" channel mortised and tenoned at intersections.
  5. Top capping bar,  3" channel x 4.1 lbs.  Fastened with 1/4" "U" bolts approximately 24" O.C.
  6. Corner post 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/8" angle.
  7. Cast iron floor shoes 2 1/2" high.. 
  8. Door frames 1 1/2" x 3/4" x 1/8" channel with 1 1/2" x 1/8" cover plate on four sides.
  9. Sliding doors to have: two, 4-wheel trucks hung in enclosed box track and bottom angle guide.

  • 2 through 14 same as for 192 plus the following:
  • Mullion bars between all panels
    • 5/16" x 3" for partitions 12' to 16'- 0' high.
    • 5/16" x 3 1/2" for partitions 16' to 20' -0" high.
